 EID-EL-KABIR: APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN CALLS FOR SACRIFICE, PEACE AND NATIONAL UNITY

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, has felicitated with Muslims across Nigeria and around the world on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging the faithful to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love and peaceful coexistence which the sacred festival symbolizes.


In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the leadership and members of APGA, Chief Ezeokenwa described Eid-el-Kabir as a solemn period of reflection, devotion and commitment to the will of Almighty Allah, as exemplified in the life of Prophet Ibrahim.


He noted that the season offers Nigerians another opportunity to strengthen the bonds of national unity, tolerance and mutual understanding irrespective of ethnic, religious or political differences.


The APGA National Chairman commended the resilience, patriotism and contributions of Muslims to national development, especially at a time when the country continues to face economic and social challenges.


He called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and supportive of efforts geared towards promoting peace, justice and sustainable progress in the nation.


Chief Ezeokenwa further urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion to pray fervently for Nigeria, its leaders and citizens, while also extending acts of kindness and charity to the less privileged in society.


According to him, the true essence of Eid-el-Kabir lies in selflessness, compassion and total submission to the command of God. While wishing Muslims a peaceful and joyous celebration, the APGA National Chairman reaffirmed the commitment of the All Progressives Grand Alliance to the ideals of national cohesion, good governance and inclusive development.


He prayed that the blessings of Eid-el-Kabir bring renewed hope, prosperity and enduring peace to Nigeria.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, has congratulated his mother following her conferment with the prestigious “Doyenne of Humanitarian Services” Award by the Nigerian Red Cross Society.


The recognition was bestowed in honour of her outstanding humanitarian contributions and years of dedicated service to humanity.


The congratulatory message was contained in a statement personally shared by the APGA National Chairman on his Facebook page, where he paid glowing tribute to his mother’s enduring compassion, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others. He described her as a source of inspiration whose life has consistently reflected dignity, grace, and uncommon generosity.


According to Chief Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, there are bonds that transcend family ties and are built on sacrifice, compassion, guidance, and devotion to humanity. He noted that in his mother, he has found not only the blessing of family but also the enduring example of a woman whose life has been dedicated to the service of others and the betterment of society.


He further stated that the “Doyenne of Humanitarian Services” Award is a richly deserved honour and a fitting recognition of her years of selfless commitment to humanitarian causes. He commended her positive impact on countless lives, noting that her acts of kindness and service have continued to inspire many within and beyond her immediate community.


The APGA National Chairman also described his mother as a shining example of humility, empathy, and purposeful living. He acknowledged her consistent dedication to helping the less privileged and promoting the values of compassion and human dignity, qualities that have earned her admiration and respect across different spheres of society.


While congratulating her on the remarkable achievement, Chief Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa prayed for God Almighty to continue to strengthen and preserve her in good health, wisdom, and peace. He expressed confidence that the award would further inspire others to embrace humanitarian service and contribute positively to the welfare of humanity.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, has greeted Nigerian workers on the occasion of this year’s International Workers’ Day. 


He commended their unwavering dedication and vital contributions to national development, noting that workers remain at the heart of Nigeria’s progress and prosperity.


Barr. Ezeokenwa emphasized that every strong nation is built on key pillars—its people, institutions, values, and most importantly, its workforce. 


According to him, the commitment and resilience demonstrated daily by Nigerian workers across all sectors continue to drive the country’s growth, even amid prevailing economic and social challenges.


“As we mark International Workers’ Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to organised labour and all Nigerian workers,” he stated. “Across every sector, you continue to demonstrate resilience, diligence, and an unwavering commitment to duty, even in the face of challenges.”


The APGA National Chairman reaffirmed the party’s commitment to protecting workers’ rights and promoting policies that ensure fair working conditions. He stressed that APGA remains dedicated to advancing initiatives that enhance the welfare, dignity, and overall well-being of the Nigerian workforce, recognizing their indispensable role in nation-building.


He concluded by urging all Nigerians to continue supporting and empowering workers, noting that the nation’s prosperity is closely tied to their well-being.

The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the forthcoming Osun State gubernatorial election, Prince Adesina O. Adeyemi-Doro, has paid a courtesy visit to His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at his palace in Ile-Ife. 


The visit stressed the candidate’s commitment to engaging traditional institutions as critical partners in fostering unity, peace, and development across Osun State.


Speaking after the meeting, Prince Adeyemi-Doro described the encounter as a rare privilege and profound honour. He noted that the engagement with the revered monarch was deeply humbling and inspiring, rooted in shared values of heritage, leadership, and a collective aspiration for a greater Osun State. 


The candidate emphasized that such interactions are vital in aligning governance ambitions with the cultural and historical foundations of the people.
